Seeking: Performers who are living with a disability

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:

[ON CAMERA CO-HOST] Open gender. Seeking talent 18+. Performers who are living with a disability. As part of our commitment to represent all Canadians and create barrier-free media, CBC Kids and CBC Content Accessibility are searching for an energetic, fun-loving part-time On-Camera Host living with a disability!

Authentic representation matters—especially for young audiences. By bringing your lived experience to our screen, you’ll help build a world where every child sees themselves in the fun they watch every day. In this role, you’ll co-host across our morning broadcast block, digital platforms, and live events, sparking joy and curiosity for children ages 4–6 through playful, educational content—including, but not limited to, segments centered on inclusion and accessibility. We’re looking for someone warm, expressive, and naturally at home playing and chatting on camera.

We encourage applications from Deaf and/or disabled performers of all ethnicities, races, backgrounds, and genders. On-Camera Presence: Warm, funny, engaging, authentic, Musicality is a bonus!

TALENT MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN CANADA
